W dniach 13-14 września 2023 odbędzie się międzynarodowa konferencja naukowa Iluzje w teatrze /poza teatrem. Performans intermedialny od renesansu do dziś, organizowana przez Katedrę Kulturoznawstwa (Wydział Humanistyczny UMK, Collegium Maius).
Przez dwa dni konferencji międzynarodowa grupa badaczy i praktyków rozmawiać będzie o tym, w jaki sposób i z jakimi konsekwencjami sztuki performatywne wchodziły od wieków w intermedialne relacje ze „starymi” oraz „nowymi” technologiami audiowizualnego przekazu i wciągały odbiorców w kreowany świat iluzji. Konferencja stanowi propozycję podążania tropem archeologiczno-medialnym, czemu patronują wystąpienia zaproszonych badaczy zagranicznych. Konferencję otworzy wykład prof. Erkkiego Huhtamo (University of California Los Angeles, USA), autora książki Illusions in Motion. Media Archeology of the Moving Panorama and Related Spectacles (The MIT Press 2013). Drugiego dnia konferencji zapraszamy na wykład prof. Petera W. Marxa (University of Cologne, Niemcy), autora książki A Cultural History of Theatre in the Age of Empire (Bloomsbury 2019).
